Edyn is designed to help you explore flavor with care—your personal information deserves the same respect. This short policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why we collect it, and how you stay in control.

1. What we collect

  • App activity — Which rituals you open and where you progress in each ritual. It help us track your progress.
  • Device basics — Anonymous device ID, OS version, language. Enable us to keep the app working on your phone and fix bugs.‍
  • Instagram Business data — Public comments posted on @edyn.app media (comment text, commenter username, comment time, and the Instagram media ID).

We do not collect any non-anonymized personal data beyond what Instagram already displays publicly.

2. How we use your data

  1. Operate the service – deliver rituals, sync progress.
  2. Improve Edyn – aggregate, anonymous analytics show us which features resonate.

3. What we never do

  • Sell or rent your personal data.
  • Share it with advertisers for targeted ads.
  • Keep more data than we need.

If we must rely on service partners (cloud hosting), they only get the minimum needed and must follow strict confidentiality rules.

4. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS, at-rest AES-256) and limit staff access. No system is perfect, but we work continuously to protect your information.

5. Children

Edyn is built for users 12 years and older. If you believe we’ve collected a child’s data, contact us and we’ll delete it promptly.

6. Policy changes

If we make material changes, we’ll post the new policy here and notify you in-app or via email at least 14 days before it takes effect.

7. Data deletion / removal

If you want any Instagram comment data or other personal information removed from our analytics pipeline, email privacy@edyn.app with the subject line “Instagram Data Deletion Request.” Include a link to, or screenshot of, your comment so we can locate it.

We will:

  1. Delete the comment record (text, username, timestamps, media ID) from our internal database.
  2. Purge any derived analytics that could identify you.
  3. Confirm completion within 30 days.
